The mission of WAYS is to provide oversight and promote soccer opportunities for youth in the Wellsboro community.
Wellsboro Area Youth Soccer (WAYS) was established over 20 years ago to develop and provide youth soccer opportunities for children in the Wellsboro area. We strive to provide a richly rewarding experience to all who participate. We offer an annual Fall recreational program with approximately 300 participants from Pre-k to 6th grade. We also offer a Winter Futsal program. Benefits of participation include physical activity promoting a healthy lifestyle, socialization, and learning teamwork.
Futsal is a modified version of soccer played on an indoor court. WAYS offers our Futsal program January – March as a way to help participants gain skill and keep active during the Winter months. The program is open to children in 1st – 6th grade. Children are divided by grade level: 1st & 2nd, 3rd – 4th and 5th – 6th .
An intramural program open to children in grades Pre-K through 6th grade. Children play with their peers based upon grade: Pre-K; Kindergarten; 1st Grade; 2nd Grade; Grades 3 & 4 together; Grades 5 & 6 together.
The program begins mid August and runs through mid October.
