All coaches & volunteers interacting with players must have the following clearances:
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse Background Check
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance if you have NOT resided in PA for past 10 years.
  • FBI Fingerprint Waiver if you have been a resident of PA for more than 10 years.

Clearances must be renewed every 5 years. To obtain new clearances, or to renew your clearances, please select the links below to be redirected to the appropriate agency. Remember to print a copy of your clearance for our records.

coach & Volunteer Code of Ethics

  1. Soccer is a player’s game. The paramount concern of the coach is the development, welfare, safety, and enjoyment of the player physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally.

  3. Coaches shall demonstrate inclusive behavior by offering the same training and playing opportunities to all eligible players.
  4.  
  5. The coach is responsible for teaching and modeling for the players how to strive to do their best while playing fairly, observing the laws of the game, and demonstrating respect for self and others.

  7. In victory and defeat, the coach shall teach and model grace, dignity, and composure.
  8.  
  9. Coaches shall maintain open communication with the WAYS board in matters pertaining to their program.
  10.  
  11. Coaches shall adhere to the expectations of WAYS as outlined for their designated program.
  12.  
  13. Coaches shall refrain from the use of foul, offensive, or abusive language and treat each player, coach, and official with respect. Inappropriate comments directed at players, coaches, officials, or spectators will not be tolerated.
